as part of digitizing/organizing my life, back in 2024 I started putting together a massive photo gallery for my entire family. I’ve been organizing my my mom’s & my own Google/iCloud photo library, plus I’d ripped all of the tapes from my dad’s video camera (which takes forever, oh my god)
but! I finally got a photo scanner and have slowly been going through all of my mom’s drawers and buckets of photos so we can all cherish these memories forever and ever

with the timing of all of my fun mental health excitement, this has been a welcomed distraction. in fact, it’s actually been very therapeutic looking at all of the photos of myself through the ages and the memories I both do (and don’t) remember
as part of my recovery/healing/therapeutic journey the last several months, I have been delving back into my past – both to reminisce (because I’ve ALWAYS been an entertaining person), but also to revisit and reframe everything about my life with the knowledge I have now about myself. back in 1999, only weird, nerdy white boys that sorted toy trains and jerked off about the periodic table of elements were autistic.

my rambunctious, wild-woman-haired crazy ass most definitely did NOT fit the stereotypical autistic criteria lol
